Fed:Rudd backs NSW govt electricty privatisation

Prime Minister KEVIN RUDD supports the New South Wales government's plan to privatise
the state's electricity industry.

The state government says its plan to lease out power stations and sell all but the
poles and wires assets of the state's electricity agencies will save the state 15-billion
dollars.

Mr RUDD says it's a necessary reform for the nation.
