Qld: Bank manager injected, cash stolen

A Gold Coast bank manager's been abducted and injected twice in the neck with an unknown
substance in an elaborate robbery.

Police are seeking two men who dressed as construction workers to accost the manager
of the Mudgeeraba branch of the Bank of Queensland this morning .. as he was parked on
the side of the road.

The 49-year-old was threatened with a silver automatic pistol and a syringe .. and
injected twice in the back of the neck as the men told him what they wanted him to do.

The manager went to the bank .. withdrew a quantity of cash from the safe and dropped
it off in a garden about 200 metres away from the bank.

Police say the bank manager .. who called police after the drop off .. has been traumatised
by the incident and is awaiting test results in relation to the injections.
