NSW: Girls allegedly threatened rail commuters=2

A DOCS spokeswoman later said the department was investigating the case, although she
stressed the importance of parental responsibility.

"Incidents such as those that allegedly occurred last night at St Marys station are
a serious concern," the spokeswoman said.

"Responsibility for the care and protection of children is foremost with their parents.

"DOCS only becomes involved where there are concerns for the safety and welfare of the child.

"DOCS is in the process of gathering facts about this case and we will follow up any concerns."
