SA: Ballot for SA Libs deputy set to be one-horse race

The man who came last in the South Australian Liberal deputy leadership challenge looks
set to win the job today.

Despite almost toppling Labor in the election just two weeks ago .. the opposition
has been in turmoil over the past week since former leader MARTIN HAMILTON-SMITH was elected
deputy.

It was expected Mr HAMILTON-SMITH and water spokesman MITCH WILLIAMS would face off
at today's party room meeting .. despite Mr WILLIAMS not even making the final round in
last week's vote.

But the former leader has confirmed he's withdrawn from the race with Mr WILLIAMS.

ISOBEL REDMOND .. who was re-elected unopposed last week to head the opposition ..

replaced Mr HAMILTON-SMITH as leader nine months ago.
